Docs North | Docs Nord workshop returns to Thunder Bay, March 4-8, 2026!

This workshop focuses on the essentials of a multi-media approach to storytelling for knowledge mobilization. The diverse group we bring together will gain practical skills and share ideas regarding filmmaking, new media, and interactive and web-based media projects. Workshop participants will work together to create a documentary film focusing on the theme of “survival.”

There is a $200 registration fee for this workshop, and participation is limited. Registration is open to the general public, but we are encouraging applications from practicing and emerging media artists, filmmakers, youth, and community activists of all ages.

A registration/travel grant is available for a select number of Northern Ontario participants. Meals are provided on designated days. We encourage staying with friends and family or billeting. Please direct any questions to flashframenetwork@gmail.com!
